T O P I C R E V I E WmanakiHi everyoneI'm currently looking into the Star of david aspect formation and would be really interested to hear your opinions on the planets and asteroids you feel are acceptable to be included. Also how tight an orb would you require? Thanks so much xAmi AnneI find that aspects, in a classic way, do not include asteroids, but one can still learn from and have some credence with asteroids, but the power of the aspect would not be the same as with planets.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/LerenaI think the Star of David can include asteroids, but it will be a less powerful Star of David. The Star of David is most powerful with only planets. For orbs, I'd use no more than 2 or 3 degrees. Of course, within 1 degree for each placement is preferable. This is just my opinion though. I've had aspect patterns with asteroids play out.Ami AnneYes, asteroids would matter but one is fudging a basic astrological concept, when one includes asteroids, so it would be much less powerful, though still a factor imo------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/manakiAmi Anne thank you for your kind welcome, and Lerena I have also found astroids significant, particularly in love relationships. I've experienced yod patterns in composite before and transiting astroids particularly seemed to trigger off unusual and sudden developments within the relationship. A friend has a yod on her natal chart and has noticed this too.I find the star of David so interesting, and so rare, I do have a tight orb grand water trine with a family member in composite involving moon, sun & uranus. There is also a grand trine in Earth with chiron, North node and pallas, however the orb is not tight enough to be officially called a star of david as chiron is over 5 degrees out.Do either of you think astroids have more influence over romantic relationships than platonic or in a natal chart aspect pattern?Thank youAmi AnneYou are most welcome, M.I don't understand your question. Could you re-phrase it, please?------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/manakiSorry, what i mean is that in the experience I have, I have found asteroids to have more influence over charts involving love interests as apposed to friendships. Particularly when an astroid is transiting over a sensitive part of a chart. And I've found that in synastry, composite and natal.Ami AnneNo, M, I think ALL asteroids are equally powerful. I have not used them in transit, so cannot comment about that, but there are many which blow me away with their accuracy, such as Lie, Bilk, Nemesis, etcThere are the name asteroids, too.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Lots for me to research..Thanks for your insights xAmi Anne quote:Originally posted by manaki:I shall look into the ones you have mentioned, astroids are a whole new world to me, and there are so many!! Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/asteroidologyI've found asteroids in my own chart to be much more telling, in parts of chart patterns and without. "Classical astrology" isn't the only astrology, and as many of the asteroids are still new, we are working to build a body of knowledge. But the sheer volume of asteroids, as well as how accurate they are on specific matters, makes me confident that it would be silly to ignore them in chart patterns. Looks like I'll have to disagree with Ami here. (And I haven't found it to be true that Newbies are welcomed and loved by her either. I expected a nice welcome, with the title "Christian" and all, but no go. )SeimeiAstrology is a a lot to grasp and learn,,, PERIOD. Include asteroids > astrology on Steroids.too many asteroids and your grasp of realitywill shrivel up. There is an asteroid and the helio node of another likely in every single degree of the zodiac at nearly every given moment of time be sensible and insist on a planet being included. just my 1/2 cent------------------LeekingCheemanakiThank you Siemie; definitely food for thought. I do think though, depending on the nature of the relationship (synastry/composite charts), some asteroids can hold significance and that each chart reading should be judged on its own merits. Natal charts I would tend to agree with you or at least have a very tight orb, as Ami Anne recommended
